Managing assets
To create and maintain asset numbers and corresponding information, you can use the Assets application. You can store asset numbers and corresponding information such as the parent, location, vendor, up or down status, and maintenance costs of each asset. You can build asset hierarchies. You can also reference multiple audits and surveys against an asset to maintain a complete history of that asset.
In the Assets application, you can do the following activities:
- Starting in 9.1, on the Meters page, view continuous emissions and add environmental details such as emission impact, emission category, emission material, and unit measure for environmental monitoring. To view fugitive emissions, add fugitive emissions for an incident with blowdown, environmental, leakage, spill, or purging event type.
- Associate Explosion Protected (EX) and Explosive Atmosphere (ATEX) standards with assets.
- Associate regulations with assets.
- Specify the reliability and the target availability of assets.
- Associate audits or surveys with assets.
- Associate permit or certificate types with assets.
- Associate certifications with assets.
- Specify whether a certificate was awarded. If a certificate was awarded, specify the certification details, such as the date of certification and the date of expiration.
- Specify inspection data for lifting equipment.
- Manage equipment registers.
- Add hose and piping data.
- Review operator log details.
If an asset requires tickets or work orders, you can generate the following types of records from
this application:
