Configuring outbound logistics

This configuration enables you to define carriers and rules that control outbound logistics including carrier services and shipment modes.

You can accept, store, and manage the execution of a delivery plan accounting for complex, multi-step, multi-leg, and multi-mode movement of goods, including practices such as merge-in-transit, continuous movement, lane optimization and cross-docking. All activities among all parties are coordinated in the delivery chain, and events are proactively monitored and notified participants when deviations occur. Shipment and delivery records are tied to the original sales or purchase orders for management of dependencies among orders and shipments. Post-delivery reconciliation of performance, comparing actual with promised, SLA metric analysis, participant performance, and so on is provided.

Following is the list of configurations that you can perform:
  • Define Carriers
