Securing IBM Control Center

You can configure security for IBM® Control Center.

Important: IBM Control Center offers security and privacy capabilities, including ISO certifications and technical security capabilities, to support you in meeting the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance obligation.

Configuring secure connections
You can configure secure connections for IBM Control Center. These connections can be configured in either a high availability environment or a non-high availability environment.

You can configure IBM Control Center to support NIST SP800-131a. There are limitations on some connections when you configure IBM Control Center to support NIST SP800-131a.
Authenticate users through external directory services
You can externally authenticate IBM Control Center users by using LDAP accessible directories.
Securing the IBM Control Center root passphrase with a user key
IBM Control Center configuration includes different types of passwords, such as IBM Control Center user password, database connection password, and monitored server password. Each of these passwords is encrypted with a root passphrase that is uniquely generated for each installation.
