Changing system settings

If you have privileges to do so, you can change any of the system settings.

About this task

To change system settings:

Procedure

  1. Take one of the following actions:
    • Select IBM Control Center > System Settings.
    • Right-click the IBM® Control Center icon and select Properties. The System Settings panel is displayed.
  2. To change database settings, select the Database tab and change the values.
  3. To view the email connection settings currently configured, select the Email tab to change email settings, run the configCC utility.
  4. To change the SNMP Hosts settings, select the SNMP Hosts tab and change the values.
  5. To view the log file name, select the Application Log tab.
  6. To change the simultaneous pollers setting, select the Services tab.
  7. To view the ports that are used to connect to the IBM Control Center engine, select the Engine Connection tab.
  8. To change the default values for the console settings, select the Console Settings tab. You can change the following settings:
    • Default Graphical Activity Monitor expected maximum processes
    • Default Console Auto Refresh System Setting in seconds
    • Default Timeout values
  9. To change File Agent settings, select the File Agent tab.
  10. Click Update when you complete the changes.
