Changing user passwords when logged in as an administrator

When you are logged in as an administrator, you can change the password for any user.

When you change the password for another user, they are automatically logged out and must log in again by using the new password.

As an administrator, when you change your own password, you must also log in again.

Procedure

  1. In QRadar® Network Packet Capture, click the ADMIN tab.
  2. In the User field in the ACCOUNTS widget, type the username that you want to change.
  3. In the Password field, type the new password.
  4. In the Level list, select the permissions and click Update Account.
    A confirmation appears, and the new password takes immediate effect. The affected user must log back into the system.
