Setting up and pairing Hybrid (partial pairing) Setup
To set up and pair the Hybrid (partial pairing) Setup feature, complete the following steps:
- Login into the main site, start the Data Synchronization app and configure the main site. For more information, see Configuring the main site settings.
- To specify Hybrid Setup, enable the Hybrid Flow on the main site
configuration screen. Note: Apps restoration needs to be performed manually in Hybrid Setup.
- Login into the destination site, start the Data Synchronization app and configure the destination site. For more information, see Configuring the destination site settings.
- To pair the main site and destination site consoles or hosts, first complete the pairing configuration between the two sites. For more information, see Pairing Configuration. Pairing is enabled only after the pairing configuration is completed.
- To pair a console or host, select the required console or host and click Pair. The destination site console IP or host IP that was premapped during the pairing configuration appears. If a host is not premapped, pairing is not allowed for that host. Select the appropriate console IP or host IP and proceed with pairing. A dialog box prompts you to run the pairing command on both the main site console or host and the destination site console or host. This pairing process maps the entire deployment from the main site to a destination site that contains a console and additional hosts.
- To confirm that the pairing is successfully established:
- Log in as the admin user and take a fresh backup from the main site console: .
- Log in as the root user on the console server and take fresh volume backup of applications on both the main site console and the destination site.
- Ensure that the backups created in Step 1 are transferred from the main to destination consoles. Then, open the Backup and Recovery window to verify whether the transferred backups are visible. If the transferred backups are not visible, refresh the Backup and Recovery window.
- For app restoration, ensure that the backups created in Step 2 are successfully transferred between the main site and the destination site.
