What's new in the Data Synchronization app

Learn about the new features in each Data Synchronization app release.

Version 4.0.0

Added Disaster recovery dashboard to provide automated health checks and readiness validation before you perform Failover or Failback operation.

Added support for Carbon v10 to Carbon v11 migration to align the application UI with the latest Carbon Design System standards, improving UI consistency and future compatibility.

Upgraded the application runtime from Node.js 18 to Node.js 20 to ensure compatibility with the latest supported runtime, improved stability, and long-term maintainability.

Version 3.3.0

Added support of Hybrid setup using Data Synchronization app.

Pairing Configuration feature is added for Hybrid setups to align host IDs and server IDs between main site hosts and destination site hosts they are paired with. A mismatch between host IDs and server IDs might affect the failover or failback process in Hybrid setup. For more information, see Pairing Configuration.

Hybrid setup is useful for customers in the following scenarios.
  1. An actual disaster recovery where the console is not available but the other deployment hosts are still running.
  2. A disaster recovery exercise where the main site is still available during the disaster recovery process.

Version 3.2.2

Added apps failover (apps restoration) feature for apps installed on console and for console-only DC-DR appliance type set up

Updated packages with known vulnerabilities.

Version 3.2.1

Added Console-only software appliance support.

Added FISMA IPv6 support.

Upgraded the QRadar® Data Synchronization app base image to v4 from v2.

Updated packages with known vulnerabilities.

Version 3.2.0

Added Console-only DR feature to enable Console-only failover and failback by using QRadar Data Synchronization app. Console-only DR implementation is useful for customers in the following scenarios.
  • An actual disaster recovery where the console is not available but the other deployment hosts are still running.
  • A disaster recovery exercise where the main site is still available during the disaster recovery process.
Important: Console-only DR feature does not support High Availability (HA) and need to remove HA before Failover and Failback from Main and Destination sites in its current implementation.

The critical security vulnerabilities are resolved in the QRadar Data Synchronization app.

Version 3.1.2
