Configuring access to application extensions

Configure restrictions on the availability of an application extension based on the access privileges of the user in the context where the application extension is used. For example, if the application extension is an action on an asset preview card, you can configure the extension so that the action is displayed only if the user has write access to the asset.

1. Log on as administrator.
2. Click Solution Administration > Configuration Tools > Application.
3. Select the supporting application.
4. Click the Application Extensions tab. The application extensions that are defined for the supporting application are displayed.
5. Select an application extension, and select either Yes or No for the Restrict by write access field:
   • Select Yes to make the application extension available only in a context where the user has write access.
   • Select No if the restriction is not required.
6. Click Save.
