Where used widget
The Where Used widget lists all equipment records linked to the item that is viewed, and what pieces of equipment the item is used on. The Equipment is identified by having an issue that is booked to it or the item is listed on a BOM that is linked to the piece of equipment.
The total number of linked records are shown in parentheses near the lower left.
The information is presented in a grid view, displaying details of the equipment that the item is linked to.
All information that is presented in this widget is read-only. You can change the columns that
you want to view by selecting the icon. For more information on
managing column views, see Showing and hiding columns.

Where Used widget contains the following columns:
- Material No (Stock Code): The inventory item number.
- Equipment Number: For equipment found via Issues this will be the equipment number from the Base Issue table. For equipment found via BOMs (Type E) this will be the equipment number from the Set Bom table; for BOM type A the equipment number will come from the activity table.
- Date Issued: This is the date that the item was issued that the equipment was used on, if the item has multiple issues it shows the latest issue date. This is blank for equipment that is found via BOM records.
- Description: For equipment found via BOM records that can be joined back to the equipment, this is the description from the equipment. If the equipment cannot be found, the description is from the Set BOM table. For equipment found via issues that are linked to the equipment, this is the description from the equipment. When the equipment cannot be found, it is left blank.
- BOM Description: If the description is from the BOM, this is selected, or if the description is from the equipment, then it is not selected.
- Equipment exists: Indicates whether the equipment can be found in IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization.
- Class id: For equipment found via Issues this will be the equipment class ID, or it will be left blank if the equipment cannot be found in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization. For equipment identified via BOMs this will be the equipment class ID, or the class ID from the BOM if the equipment cannot be found in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization. For BOM type A the class id will come from the activity table.
- Business Impact: This is the business Impact of the equipment. It is left blank if the equipment is not available in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization.
- Department ID: This is the Identifier of a Company Department that is associated with the equipment.
- Issue count: This is the number of issues for this item that are linked to the piece of equipment. This is zero for any equipment that has been identified via BOM only.
- BOM count: This is the count of BOMs that contain this item and are associated with the piece of equipment. This is zero for equipment that is found in issues.
