Unprotecting a field value

You can unprotect a field value in the grid view and form view in the ITEMS module to prevent the field value for being overwritten.

• In the grid view, follow these steps.
  1. In the Inventory application, click ITEMS.
  2. In the ITEMS grid, set the Grid edit toggle button to on.
  3. Right-click on the field that you want to unprotect.
  4. Select Unprotect from the field menu.
     The lock icon disappears, allowing the field value to be modified.
• In the form view, follow these steps.
  1. In the Inventory application, click ITEMS.
  2. Select the item in the ITEMS grid and double-click to open in the form view.
  3. Right-click on the field that you want to protect.
  4. Select Unprotect from the field menu.
