Searching for a field

You can use Field finder to search for fields, expressions, or conditions across application modules in IBM® Maximo Inventory Optimization.

Before you begin

You must have administrative access to use the Field finder.

About this task

Search by a field name, a part of a field name, an expression, or a condition.

Procedure

  1. To access Field finder, navigate to Administration application under System operations.
  2. Click Field finder.
  3. In the search field, enter the text that you want to find.
  4. Click Search button.
  5. Review the results in the table. The following columns are displayed:
    Module
    The application module where the field is located.
    Affected table name
    The table that is impacted by the field.
    Affected field name
    The field name in the affected table.
    Found in
    Indicates where the field was found, such as expressions or conditions.
    Tags
    Tags associated with the field.
    Searched table name
    The table where the search was performed.
    Searched field name
    The field name that was searched.
  6. Use the secondary search (Search) within the results table to find subsets of the initial search results.
  7. Click the filter (filter) icon.
  8. Select filter criteria (for example, Module or Tags) to narrow the result.
  9. To remove the filters, click Clear all filters.
