Item history widget

The Item history widget is a table view of all snapshots that are recorded for an item when updates have taken place. Use this widget to review the full audit trail of changes to an item over time.

Overview

A snapshot is a point-in-time record of an item's data that is captured automatically whenever an update occurs. The Item history widget displays these snapshots in a table, giving you a complete audit trail of all changes made to the item.

Snapshots are recorded when any of the following updates take place:

  • Data refresh
  • User changes
  • Exports
  • Stock history merges

Viewing item history

The Item history widget presents each snapshot as a row in the table. Each row represents the state of the item at the time the snapshot was recorded. The table includes the date of the snapshot, the type of update that triggered it, and the values of the item fields at that point in time.

Advanced filters

You can filter the snapshot data by choosing the filter icon and selecting a Date/time range.

You can specify a date range to view snapshots that apply to a specific period. Dates can be entered manually or by clicking the calendar icon within the field and selecting the required dates.

Show/hide columns

You can change the columns that you want to view by selecting the Column icon icon. For more information on managing column views, see Showing and hiding columns.

Downloads

You can download item history data in .csv or .xlsx format by clicking the Download icon icon.
