Creating public filters
Filters are private by default. When you initially save the filter, you can create a public filter.
Note: Select the Share with other users checkbox to create a public
filter.
About this task
You must save a public filter with a unique name. If the filter name is not unique, the result
depends on the user type:
- If a regular user creates a new public filter with an existing name, an error message is displayed, and the filter is not saved.
- If an administrator creates a new public filter with an existing name, the Filter name already exists, overwrite? message is displayed. If you select Yes, the older view is overwritten.
Procedure
- Click Add Filter. For more information, see Filtering items
- Click the
icon.
- Click Save Filter as New Filter.
- In the Save filters window, enter a unique name for the filter.
- Select the Share with other users checkbox.
- Click Save current filter.
