Potential write offs
The potential write offs report allows users to review inventory items that have the potential to be written off.
Note: For an item to be written off, one of the following needs to occur.
- The item is issued to equipment via the issues table where no BOM exists and all equipment is inactive
- The item is issued to equipment via the BOM table where a BOM exists and all equipment is inactive on all BOMs

The potential write offs report
The report lists all stock item values for stock items that meet write off conditions. Users can
focus on a particular plant by making use of the Plant drop down filter. The
report contains four elements.
- Number of items
- Displays the total number of stock items that could potentially be written off.
- Inventory value
- Displays the total stock value of stock items that could potentially be written off.
- Inventory value by plant
- Displays the total stock value of stock items that could potentially be written off by plant in descending order
- Potential items for write off
- Lists the stock items available for potential write off.
