Configure a Sterling B2B Integrator Netmap Entry
A node is a Sterling Connect:Direct® server. Two Sterling Connect:Direct servers (local and remote) function together to perform data transfers. Either node can initiate the work by submitting a Process.
When a session is established, the node that initiates the session is the PNODE regardless of the direction of information flow. The other node is the SNODE. The Process can specify work destined for either the PNODE or SNODE.
The Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter configuration identifies the remote nodes that it can communicate with through the use of a network map, called a netmap.
When you create a Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter, you must specify a netmap.
In Sterling B2B Integrator version 4.3 and earlier, the netmap is integrated with the Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter configuration. In Sterling B2B Integrator version 5.0 and later, netmaps are configured as separate objects which allows one netmap to be shared by more than one Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter.
In Sterling B2B Integrator version 5.0 and later, you can configure a netmap in Sterling B2B Integrator from the Administration menu by selecting Deployment > Adapter utilities > C:D Netmaps.
From this menu, you can configure:
- Sterling Connect:Direct Nodes
- Sterling Connect:Direct Netmaps
- Sterling Connect:Direct Netmap cross-references (X-REF)
