Link deck summary
A link deck is a linkage editor file that contains binder control statements used to specify editing operations and identify additional inputs to the binder.
Use the "Link deck summary" page to see:
- The link decks in the inventory database.
- The link decks that match the search criteria you entered in search fields.
This page contains sections that help you with the following tasks.
- Context
- This section is in the upper-left corner of the page. It opens the "Bookmark this page" wizard in a separate window.
- Search
- This section is at the top of the page. It contains fields that help you search the inventory database and change the scope of a database search.
- Actions
- This section is a drop-down list on the right side of the page. From this list, you can select actions to perform on the current pages.
- Result table
- This section is a table that shows the link decks in the inventory
database. From this table, you can open a details page on a specific
asset. The results table includes the following columns:
- Link deck
- The name of the link deck asset.
- Analysis status
- Indicates the status of inventory analysis for the link deck.
The status can be one of the following:
- Complete
- Rational® Asset Analyzer has completed asset attribute collection and assignment tasks. You might receive informational and warning messages about issues encountered during these tasks.
- Error
- Rational Asset Analyzer has completed the asset attribute collection and assignment tasks that it can, but has encountered an issue that it cannot resolve. You will receive at least one error message.
- Incomplete
- Rational Asset Analyzer has started to collect and assign asset attributes, but has not finished the required tasks.
- References
- The sum of all the batch jobs and transactions that directly use a run unit that is defined by the link deck.
- Action
- You can perform the following actions from the Link deck results
table:
- Add to... (dialog opens in a separate window)
- Delete
- Queue selected (wizard opens in a separate window)

- The number of lines in the link deck source file.
- Source location
- The container where the link deck asset is located. This is a hyperlink to a source code view of the asset. The view opens in a separate tab.
- Site
- The server where the link deck asset is located. The server where the link deck asset is located.
