The hardware that controls PCIe adapters and PCIe card slots detected an error.

To determine the location of the PCIe adapter, complete the following steps:

  1. Is a location code available in the serviceable event view for this failing item?
    • Yes: Go to step 3.
    • No: Continue with the next step.
  2. To determine the location of the failing item, complete the following steps:
    1. Record the dynamic reconfiguration connector (DRC) index, which is word 4 of a B400xxxx reference code and word 7 of a B700xxxx reference code.
    2. The DRC index is of the form xxxxyyyy, where yyyy is the hexadecimal bus number. Using the hexadecimal bus number, go to Card positions to find the location of the failing item. Then, continue with the next step.
  3. Is the system managed by a management console?
    • Yes: Use the management console to replace the failing item at the location that was identified in this procedure.
    • No: Continue with the next step.
  4. Use the following table to determine the service action to perform.

    5105-22E, 9008-22L, 9009-22A, 9009-22G, 9223-22H, or 9223-22S Remove the adapter to determine the part number or use the CCIN of the adapter and go to Adapter information by feature code to determine the part number. Replace the adapter at the location that was identified in this procedure. See Removing and replacing adapters in the 5105-22E, 9008-22L, 9009-22A, 9009-22G, 9223-22H, or 9223-22S system.
    9009-41A, 9009-41G, 9009-42A, 9009-42G, 9223-42H, or 9223-42S Remove the adapter to determine the part number or use the CCIN of the adapter and go to Adapter information by feature code to determine the part number. Replace the adapter at the location that was identified in this procedure. See Removing and replacing adapters in the 9009-41A, 9009-41G, 9009-42A, 9009-42G, 9223-42H, or 9223-42S system.
    9040-MR9 Remove the adapter to determine the part number or use the CCIN of the adapter and go to Adapter information by feature code to determine the part number. Replace the adapter at the location that was identified in this procedure. See Removing and replacing adapters in the 9040-MR9 system.
    9080-M9S Remove the adapter to determine the part number or use the CCIN of the adapter and go to Adapter information by feature code to determine the part number. Use the management console to replace the failing item at the location that was identified in this procedure.
    Expansion drawer Remove the adapter to determine the part number or use the CCIN of the adapter and go to Adapter information by feature code to determine the part number. Use the management console to replace the failing item at the location that was identified in this procedure.
