Replacing the control panel in the 8408-44E or 8408-E8E with the system power turned on

To replace the control panel with the system power turned on, complete the steps in this procedure.

Procedure
  1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.
  2. If necessary, remove the new control panel from its packaging.
  3. Align the control panel with the control panel slot.
  4. Slide the control panel into the slot, and press on the terracotta tab to lock it in place.

  5. If you are replacing the control panel as part of another procedure, return to that procedure now.
