Resetting the managed system connection from the management console

You can reset the managed system connection from the Hardware Management Console (HMC).

To reset the managed system connection by using the HMC, choose one of the following navigation options depending on the interface type of the HMC:
  • If you are using an HMC Classic or HMC Enhanced interface, complete the following steps:
    1. In the navigation area, click Systems management > Servers.
    2. To enable the tasks for that server, select the required server name.
    3. From the Tasks menu, click Connections > Reset or Remove Connection.
    4. In the Reset Or Remove Connection window, click Reset Connection, and then click OK.
  • If you are using an HMC Enhanced+ interface, complete the following steps:
    1. In the navigation area, click the Resources icon Resources, and then click All Systems.
    2. To enable the actions for that server, select the required server name.
    3. From the Actions menu, click Reset or Remove System Connection.
    4. In the Reset Or Remove Connection window, click Reset Connection, and then click OK.
