Collibra connection

To access your data in Collibra, create a connection asset for it.

Collibra is a data intelligence platform that helps users manage, govern, and understand data assets across systems. It provides tools for data cataloging, lineage, and stewardship to support compliance, transparency, and collaboration.

Create a connection to Collibra

To create the connection asset, you need these connection details:

  • Hostname or IP address: The hostname of Collibra or IP address of the database.
  • Port number: The port of the database.
  • Database name: The name of the database.
  • Login timeout: Set the time before the login attempt timeouts. If you do not set a value, a default value between 30 to 60 seconds will be used.

Username and password
Username and Password to access the Collibra platform.

For Private connectivity, to connect to a database that is not externalized to the internet (for example, behind a firewall), you must set up a secure connection.

Certificates

  • Port is SSL-enabled: Enable this option if the port you have chosen is configured to accept SSL connections.

If the Port is SSL-enabled option is enabled, fill in the following fields:

  • SSL certificate: Enter the SSL certificate of the host to be trusted
  • Hostname in SSL certificate: The hostname in SubjectAlternativeName or Common Name (CN) part of the SSL certificate
  • Validate the SSL certificate: Enable this option to validate that the SSL certificate returned by the host is trusted.
  • Private key: The private key used for secure authentication and encryption.
