Replacing a power supply in the 8348-21C

Learn how to replace the power supply in the IBM® Power® System S812LC (8348-21C) system.

1. Align the power supply (C) with the bay and slide the power supply into the system until the latch (B) locks in place. See Figure 1.

2. Connect and fasten the power cord to the power supply.
   1. Connect the power cord to the power supply, as shown in Figure 1.
   2. Use the hook-and-loop fastener and tie the power cord to the power supply handle.
      Attention: This system is equipped with two power supplies. Before you continue with this procedure, connect all power cords to the power supplies and strap them.
