You can change the system I/O settings of a system by
changing a quick-start or captured system template by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC). This changed
template is used to deploy the system.
To change the physical I/O settings of a template, complete
the following steps:
- Choose one of the following navigation options depending on the interface type of the Hardware Management Console (HMC):
- If you are using an HMC Enhanced interface, complete the following steps:
- In the navigation area, expand .
- Select a server and click .
- If you are using an HMC Enhanced+ interface, complete the following steps:
- In the navigation pane, click the HMC Management icon
.
- Click Templates and OS Images, or click
Template Library.
- Click the System tab
and select the system template that you want to
change.
- Click . The Template Detail page is displayed.
- To change the Physical I/O settings, click the Physical
I/O tab. You can change enable or disable using captured
I/O information. Click the Use Captured I/O Information check
box to use the captured physical I/O information.
- Click Save and Exit to overwrite
the changes that are made in the template, or click Save
As to save the changes in a new template.
