Document retrieval and viewing

All documents and print lists can be viewed with the SAP GUI. For documents that are stored in IBM® Content Manager, Content Manager OnDemand, and FileNet® P8, you have more possibilities.

Documents that are stored in IBM Content Manager and Content Manager OnDemand can also be viewed from the SAP GUI by using SAP Document Finder. If you enable SAP Document Finder for searching IBM Content Manager and Content Manager OnDemand, you can also search for the documents that you want to view.

Documents that are stored in IBM Content Manager and FileNet P8 can also be viewed with IBM Content Navigator. In IBM Content Navigator, you can also display folders, search templates, and stored searches. Note that for documents that are archived by using document management system (DMS), document retrieval with IBM Content Navigator is not supported.

Documents that were created in SAP and that were stored in IBM Content Manager, Content Manager OnDemand, and FileNet P8 by using Content Collector for SAP do not contain any searchable attributes. If you add the index information that is contained in the SAP business objects, to the metadata of these archived documents, you can also search for these documents.
