OMS-Elasticsearch component and processes
The OMS-Elasticsearch application component has associated component processes that are used to construct application-level processes.
The following table describes the OMS-Elasticsearch component processes that IBM provides out-of-the-box:

| Deploy Elasticsearch Server | Deploys the Elasticsearch container on the assigned resource. |
| Remove Elasticsearch Server | Removes the Elasticsearch Server from the assigned resource. |
All steps to deploy the Elasticsearch Server are automated. However, if you configure a new runtime as a node, you also need to run an additional process, Apply Elasticsearch Configuration, on the node after the runtime is deployed. This process updates the host name and cluster name in the Elasticsearch properties, and ensures that the new node is detected by the Elasticsearch Server.
