Supplier Qualification Overview

In the IBM® Emptoris® Supplier Lifecycle Management, Supplier Qualification enables structured questionnaire-based supplier registration and approval. This qualification is the basis for an extensive supplier database and creates transparency regarding existing and potential suppliers.

About

The Supplier Qualification module collects information from suppliers, validates the correctness of the information and assesses if the given information meets the requirements.

How it works

The registration process allows asking new potential suppliers for general information. A clearing staff can then determine if this supplier meets the basic requirements for business and should further be qualified. The assessment of supplier allows information gathering from suppliers through questionnaires. Based on the given answers, it can be determined if the supplier qualifies for business.

Users

Supplier Qualification comprises of mainly two users:
  • Internal Users: Buyer users
  • External Users: Supplier users
