The Flash-based mining visualizer
The Time Series Visualizer is based on Adobe Flash. To use the Time Series Visualizer on Windows and Linux®, Adobe Flash Player, at least version 9.0.151.0, is required.
In data warehousing in Db2®, the Time Series Visualizer is displayed with the SWT Browser widget. To display web content, the SWT Browser widget uses Internet Explorer on Windows and Mozilla-based browsers on Linux. Because the Time Series Visualizer is Flash-based, your browser needs to have a current Adobe Flash player installed.
You can download Adobe Flash
Player from the following website:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Before you can use the Time Series Visualizer, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:
- The rendering engine for
the SWT Browser widget must be set up
correctly. Usually, SWT Browser works on Windows. If problems occur on Linux, follow the instructions in the SWT FAQ at the following website:
http://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#browserlinuxThe internal browser engine of SWT is not sufficient because it does not support Adobe Flash.
- The browser engine has the Adobe Flash Player plugin installed, and it is working correctly.
In
general, you can use Flash Player version 9. For your Linux distribution, use Adobe Flash Player version 10,
at least on the following servers:
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5
- SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
- SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
