Indenting text

You can change the indentation of the selected text.

About this task

Indentation determines the distance between the page margin and the text in a paragraph. Within the margins, you can increase or decrease the indentation of a paragraph or group of paragraphs.

Procedure

  1. Select the paragraph that you want to indent.
  2. Click Format > Increase Indent.
  3. To decrease the indentation, click Format > Decrease Indent.
    Tip: You can quickly indent the paragraph by clicking the Increase Indent icon Increase indent icon and decrease indent by clicking the Decrease Indent iconDecrease indent icon on the toolbar.
