Correcting a version mismatch state in a managed system
Learn how to correct a version mismatch problem in a managed system.
The version mismatch problem might occur in the following situations:
- The service processor firmware and Hardware Management Console (HMC) versions are incompatible.
- Use the reference code and update to the compatible service processor and HMC configurations.
- An HMC Version 7.7.8, or later is connected to a server that is managed by a newer version of HMC.
- If an HMC Version 7.7.8, or later is used to manage a server with a newer configuration, it might display a new connection error state Version Mismatch with the reference code as Save Area Version Mismatch. If you want to continue to use the lower version of HMC, initialize the managed system in the lower version of HMC and then run any operations.
