ProtecTIER® is a disk-based data storage system. It uses data de-duplication technology to store data to disk arrays. The ProtecTIER VTL service emulates traditional automated tape libraries. ProtecTIER OpenStorage implements a storage server emulation. ProtecTIER FSI enables ProtecTIER to serve as a network attached storage (NAS) backup target.
