Use this modal page to view the details of the selected
physical tape drive.
- Drive details
- The Drive details modal page gives information about the
selected physical tape drive, its health, and availability. The following
information is included:
- Serial Number
- The serial number of the physical drive. It can contain up to
12 characters and can be any alphanumeric character, but only the
hex characters 0-9, A-F are used.
Note: The serial number can be read,
but not modified.
- Drive Type
- The machine type and model number of the drive. The possible values
are:
- 3592E05
- 3592E06
- 3592E07
- Available
- The physical drive availability status. The possible values are:
- Yes
- The physical drive is available.
- No
- The physical drive is not available.
- Frame
- The frame of the physical drive.
- Row
- The row of the physical drive.
- Subsystem ID
- The controller number. It can take values from 0x01 to 0x10 (1-16
in hexadecimal).
- Device Number
- The number of the device expressed in hexadecimal. It can take
values from 0x00 to 0x0F.
- Volume
- The volume name of the mounted physical volume if the physical
drive is not IDLE. The name must be six alphanumeric characters that
uniquely represent the volume to be mounted. If the drive is IDLE,
this field contains all blanks.
- Stand-alone Mount
- Indication of whether or not the physical drive is mounted. The
possible values are:
- Yes
- The physical drive is mounted.
- No
- The physical drive is demounted.
- Health
- The health of the physical drive. The possible values are:
- Normal
- The drive is fully functioning.
- Warning
- The drive is functioning but reporting errors. Action should be
taken to correct the errors.
- Degraded
- The drive is functioning but at lesser redundancy and performance.
- Failure
- The drive is not functioning and immediate action should be taken
to restore the drive to a functioning state.
- Offline/Timeout
- The drive is out of service or cannot be reached within a certain
time frame.
