Monitoring services and service instances

Once a service is started, you can monitor the service and its service instances on the cluster management console.

Service monitoring

Monitor services on the Services tab under Instance Groups if your service is associated with a instance group, and on the Services page under System & Services in the cluster management console.

Check the state of your service and review resource utilization. High or low resource utilization could indicate a need to scale up or scale down your services. You can also generate reports to view your service resource consumption over a set period. For more information, see Standard reports.

Service instance monitoring

Monitor service instances by clicking a service and accessing the instances tab if your service is associated with an instance group, and from Services under System & Services in the cluster management console.

Check the state of your service instance. Click the host on which the service instance is running to review the details of each service instance.
