The batch structure shows the labels for the batches instead of document or page IDs.
Enable single page mode in Daeja virtual viewer
Single page mode presents a multi-page document as multiple independent pages. Single page mode improves page movement and reduces memory consumption.
Datacap Navigator user settings
Configure the layout and behavior of Datacap Navigator by changing your user settings. To change the user settings from any Datacap Navigator view, click the user ID drop-down menu and select Change User Settings.
Scanner profile
Scanner profile feature helps save all the settings of current scanner as a profile, and apply the profile in future scanning. The user needs to configure the scanner one time, and apply the same setting in future scanning easily. This feature supports to save scanner profiles in user setting or in local folder. If the users chooses to save the profile in local folder, then scanner profiles can be shared between all users using the same machine of browser. The scanner profile is specific to scanner types, so that user might need to create profile for each scanner type. Currently Datacap Navigator already has some standard scanner settings in task setting, and it could cover most of cases, and user does not need to create scanner profile one-by-one.
Enabling File Mode to improve scanning performance
File Mode is to save files to disk by scanner itself, and it might give better scanning performance comparing to Native Mode, which saves files through DynamSoft.
Removing Cancel button on the scan panel
This feature provides an administrative option in the task settings to remove Cancel button on Scan panel. A configurable parameter used for locating the Cancel button display.
Suppressing Import from Directory option from Scan Sources
This feature provides an administrative option in the task settings, to suppress "Import from Directory" option from "Scan Sources".
Multi-page document continuous scroll feature support
Multi-page documents can now be scrolled continuously without hitting a page boundary.
Removing a complete document in Datacap Navigator
You can delete a complete document in Datacap Navigator. To do that you need to first enable the document removal feature and then implement the same.
Enabling imprint during scanning
Imprinters are used to print data on documents at the time of scanning.
Controlling behavior of default field details panel in Verify client
You can configure the behavior of the default field details panel in the Verify client by changing the Verify task settings or adding field variables in the page data file.
Managing user settings administratively in Datacap Navigator
As an administrator, you can manage the user settings administratively by adding a usersettings.json file under the Datacap application directory on the server side.

You can scan your source images and collect them into batches by using Datacap Navigator. To open the scan view, click the scan shortcut in the Datacap Navigator client.

Local Rendering Viewer
A new viewer renders image files locally. The viewer depends on Datacap Local Service for rendering files. Compared to Daeja Virtual Viewer, which uses server rendering, local rendering can give better rendering performance in Scan client, where files are stored locally. This feature is supported in WebScan client only. Daeja Viewer is the default viewer when Local Service is not available. Local Rendering Viewer supports thumbnail, zoom out/in, drag and drop, select multiple images, rotation, next/previous page, dual viewer window, and some other features.
Batch verification
You run the Verify task in Datacap Navigator to ensure that your data was accurately captured and recognized by your application. In a production environment, Datacap verification tasks are run manually to identify and correct potential data problems before you upload the images to Datacap.
Batch upload
After you run the Scan task to capture your batch, you run the Upload task to upload the images to the Datacap server. While this is a task that is automated by Rulerunner in a production environment, you can upload images manually in Datacap Navigator.
Page classification
Document assembly is usually an automatic process that runs in the background. However, in some cases the automatic assembly task does not correctly identify page types. When page types are incorrectly identified, you can use Classify to manually edit the type for each page and modify the batch structure.
Batch processing (Task List)
You can monitor the status of batches and jobs for a specific task and run pending jobs from the Datacap Navigator Task List page.
Setting Datacap Navigator default page layouts
The Classify, Verify, and Scan pages contain widgets such as the image viewer, start panel, field details, and batch structure. You can set the default location of the widgets for specific tasks.
Constructing a URL for Datacap Navigator
You can construct a URL that an external application can use to access Datacap Navigator features and actions. You can append parameters to the URL that run actions and open Datacap Navigator pages.
External data services for Datacap Navigator
You can use the IBM® Content Navigator external data services (EDS) REST protocol to get data such as files or database tables from an external source. You can use the external data to customize field properties and manage property behavior in Datacap Navigator.
Customizing Job Monitor
You can customize the Datacap Navigator Job Monitor page by using external data services (EDS). For example, you can change cell values, styles, column names, and enable cells to show Dojo widgets.

You can use the filters in Datacap Navigator on Job Monitor and Task List.
Datacap Navigator access
You can access Datacap Navigator in an administrator view or a non-administrator view.
Adding a variable for Datacap date field with default date
You can add a variable in field definition to indicate whether a default date must be assigned for an empty Datacap date field.
