Setting up the Rulerunner WCF service on the Rulerunner server

Setup the Central Rulerunner WCF service, which is added in IIS application pool, on the Rulerunner server.

The below procedure provides instructions on how to setup the Central Rulerunner WCF service, which is added in IIS application pool, on the Rulerunner server.

Procedure

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. In the Connections pane, expand Computer and Sites.
  3. Right-click Default Web Site and select Add Application.
  4. Set the Alias to RuleRunnerService.
  5. Select RulerunnerServiceAppPool from the Application Pool drop-down list by clicking the Select button. Click OK.
  6. Set the physical path by entering or browsing to the installation folder for Central Rulerunner WCF service and click OK. The default location is //Datacap/CentralRuleRunnerService.
  7. Click Test Settings.
      • If the connection test is successful, click Close >OK, and continue to the next step.
      • If the connection test fails, click Close. Ensure that the permissions for the domain or Windows account are setup correctly. Also ensure that the application pool is setup correctly.
