Saving fingerprint information to XML files by using the FPXML checkbox

About this task

By default, Datacap Studio writes the zone position information to the document hierarchy XML file of the application. Datacap Studio can write to a fingerprint XML file as well. Datacap Studio writes one XML file for every fingerprint.

To configure Datacap Studio to write zone position information to a fingerprint XML file, you must enable the FPXML checkbox in Datacap Application Manager. When you add an application, the checkbox is selected by default.

Procedure

  1. Open Datacap Application Manager.
  2. Select an application.
  3. Click Main tab and select Enable FPXML.
    After you enable FPXML and restart Datacap Studio, each time you add a fingerprint or modify the zones of an existing fingerprint, Datacap Studio creates or updates the corresponding fingerprint XML file.
    Important: The information added to the document hierarchy XML file is used to display the zone outlines on the Image tab in Datacap Studio.
