If Microsoft® .NET Framework Version
1.1 is not already installed on the client tier, the installation
program installs Microsoft .NET Framework Version
1.1 Service Pack 1.
Prerequisites
If Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 is
already installed and it is not at the Service Pack 1 level, you must
apply Service Pack 1.
For computers that operate
in languages other than English, the installation program does not
install the required language extensions when Microsoft .NET
Framework Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 is installed.
Procedure
- If Microsoft .NET Framework Version
1.1 was already installed:
- Verify that it is at the Service Pack 1 level. See
article KB318785 on the Microsoft Web
site for information about how to determine the installed version
of .NET Framework.
- If it is not at the Service Pack 1 level, install Service
Pack 1. You can use Windows Automatic Updates to install
update KB867460, or you can download and install it from the Microsoft
Web site.
- If your computer operates in a language other than English,
download and install the language pack for your language. The
language pack for Microsoft .NET Framework Version
1.1 is available from the Microsoft Web
site by searching on .NET Framework Version 1.1 Language Pack.
