Client Map Page

Use the Client page of the General NLS Settings window to set client maps. When InfoSphere® DataStage® is installed, it automatically sets a character set map for communication between client and server depending on the language version of InfoSphere DataStage you have installed. If you access the InfoSphere DataStage server from a different client or change the languages supported on the server, then you might need to change the character set map. InfoSphere DataStage uses special maps for client server communication, with names ending in "-CS" (for "client server"). You should always choose one of these maps for this purpose. To display the General NLS Settings window, click the NLS… button on the General page of the DataStage Administration window.

The Client page contains the following controls:
  • Current ANSI code page. The character set map currently being used for client/server communication ("code page" is the Microsoft term for a character set).
  • Client/Server map in use. Lists the available maps. Choose one and click OK.
