Compatibility with previous versions

New versions of the IBM® InfoSphere® Information Governance Catalog REST API are compatible with previous versions.

The table shows the REST API versions and their corresponding IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog releases.

The URI format used in each REST API version differs, with a version number in the URI used to differentiate versions after version 1.0. The version 1.0 URI format is:

http://{host}:{port}/bgrestapi/{anyResource}?{query}

The version 4.0 URI format is:

http://{host}:{port}/bgrestapi/v4/{anyResource}?{query}

The latest version of InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog supports previous versions, including both URI formats. As a result, you do not have to revise existing code.
