Editing Reports

You can edit existing shared reports or custom reports in the Reports module.

About this task

Before you edit a report, you must have a basic understanding of the reports, dashboards, and their functions.

You must have the permission to edit reports. You can edit a shared report if you are the owner of the report. The system administrator is an owner for all the shared reports.

Procedure

To edit a shared report or custom report, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Reports tab, click Shared Reports or My Reports.
  2. Select the Name hyperlink to open the report that you want to edit.
    Note: To edit a shared or custom report, you can also click Edit below the report icon.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Update the details in the Edit Report page.
  5. Click Test Report to verify the report.

What to do next

If the output is satisfactory, you can save the report under My Reports or Shared Reports. Otherwise, you can edit the report before you save it. For more information about saving reports, see Saving and Sharing Reports.
