Managing Programs
A program is a group of multiple projects to track large initiatives in an organization. The program can span across your global organization and can include multiple projects being executed simultaneously. The Programs sub-module contains a list of programs created in Emptoris® Program Management.
You can create programs for various categories to achieve strategic goals. For example, you can create a program to build an aircraft which contains various processes such as designing, manufacturing, procuring, assembling, and testing. These processes can be defined as separate projects and each project can contain multiple tasks.
You can also create milestones within which you can create and manage a related group of tasks that need to be accomplished to meet a specific milestone within a project.
Permissions
A Program Administrator can access all programs in Emptoris Program Management. A Program Manager can access programs that are created by a team member. The Program Manager can also access those programs to which this user has been added as a team member.

The following diagram shows the components of a program:
The diagram displays the components and subcomponents of a program in a logical sequence. A program contains projects. A project can contain tasks and milestones. A milestone can also contain tasks. Saving records are associated to tasks.
