Integration with IBM® Emptoris Contract Management

You can create contracts directly from tasks or requests in Emptoris® Program Management in addition to creation of contracts from Emptoris Contract Management.

Administrators can create and map custom attributes in the Contract business object from Emptoris Program Management to the term definitions in Emptoris Contract Management. Each contract business object custom attribute must be mapped to a term definition in Emptoris Contract Management. After the mapping is established, administrators can customize the task form and request form with the custom attributes. When you create a contract in Emptoris Program Management, these custom attributes are sent to Emptoris Contract Management and the corresponding terms are set in the contract.

After you create a contract from tasks or requests in Emptoris Program Management, the contract is automatically linked to the task or request and is created in Emptoris Contract Management. After the contract is created in Emptoris Contract Management, you cannot update the contract in Emptoris Program Management. To update a contract, you must open the contract in Emptoris Contract Management.

You can link existing contracts that are created in Emptoris Program Management or Emptoris Contract Management to tasks or requests. You can also unlink contracts from tasks or requests in Emptoris Program Management. If a contract is linked to a task or request in Emptoris Program Management, the updates to the contract header fields and the term definition fields are synchronized from Emptoris Contract Management to Emptoris Program Management. If a contract is not linked to Emptoris Program Management, changes to the contract are not synchronized to Emptoris Program Management.
