Scorecards

In Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management, a scorecard is a set of criteria that are assigned weights.

These scorecards are used to classify the suppliers by including different criteria to aggregate the strategic information.

The criteria are either answered by users (manually) or by data feeds from 3rd party applications or other Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management modules. The criteria are joined by a formula to a result for the classification which determines the supplier class.

Optional

In the Supplier Classification module, scorecards are optional.

If no scorecard is used for classification then the user can directly assign a class to classify a supplier.

If a scorecard is used, the user cannot classify the supplier and the classification result is derived based on the different criterion values.

Use

Scorecards are used to:
  • make the evaluations comparable to one other in form and content.
  • make the evaluations comparable to one other in form and content.
  • execute Performance Evaluation with relevant questions and providing guidelines and descriptions to answer criteria.
