Polling Method
In Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management, Polling Method signifies the number of evaluators that must evaluate a criterion in a scorecard in the Performance Evaluation module.
It is a drop-down list in the Evaluation Types configuration menu and is set when you create a Performance Evaluation type.
Options for Polling Method
The following
options are available for Polling Method:
- Single evaluator per criterion: If this option is selected, then only one evaluator for a criterion can be assigned when you initiate the Performance Evaluation.
- Multiple evaluators per criterion (one must answer): If this option is selected, then the criterion must be answered by at least one of the assigned evaluators, without which the performance evaluation cannot be released.
- Multiple evaluators per criterion (all must answer): If this option is selected, then the criterion must be answered by all the assigned evaluators, without which the performance evaluation cannot be released.
Depending on the Polling Method selected while creating a type, the task of releasing the Performance Evaluation is available to the Responsible user role.
When the Multiple evaluators per criterion (all
must answer) option is selected, then the Responsible
user role cannot release the Performance Evaluation till all the assigned
evaluators complete their task of evaluating the criteria.
