Configuring Item Names

You can display up to three item specification fields along with the item name in the name column to give suppliers quick access to information related to the item.

Procedure

To configure an item name, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the RFx.
  2. Click Item Definition Fields in the navigation area.
  3. On the Item Fields page, click Configure Item Name.
  4. On the Configure Item Name dialog, use the drop-down lists to select up to three item specification fields to append to item names in the RFx.
  5. Click Save.

Results

You cannot use a system generated item specification as one of the fields that define an item name.
