Show Stopper
Show stopper is a feature in Emptoris Sourcing that can determine if the supplier is favorable or not favorable for business.
When a question or questionnaire is designated as a show-stopper, the suppliers must attain the minimum score required for it.
If a supplier does not achieve the required score, buyers may not consider them favorable for business.
This term is applicable to questions or questionnaires in an RFI or RFP.
The following table is a sample question.
| Question | Options | Score |
|---|---|---|
| Company spend on green initiatives. (show-stopper if score is less than 25) |
0-5% | 0 |
| 5-10% | 30 | |
| >10% | 100 |
In the above example if a supplier chooses the first option, the score received is 0, and the supplier may not be considered for business.
