Editing the spell checker

You can configure the spelling checker to select the language you want to check spelling in, and the checking options that you want to apply. You can add words to the client dictionary or the database dictionary. User settings are inherited from the database when a user account is created. You can change these settings later.

About this task

All the language dictionaries that are supplied with IBM® Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® (DOORS) are listed in the Selected Languages field. DOORS can check spelling and grammar for some languages, and spelling only for others. If you select a language that DOORS cannot check grammar for, the Grammar level list is unavailable. Set the spell checker rules that you want to apply.

Procedure

  1. In the database explorer, click Tools > Options.
  2. Click the Spelling tab.
  3. Select a language from the Selected Languages field.
  4. Set the spelling and grammar checking options that you want to apply.
  5. Click OK.
    Your settings are applied, and are used each time you run the spell checker.
