In Emptoris® Spend Analysis, you can search for data within dimensions using the Search feature.
About this task
You can search for dimensions using attributes regardless of whether the attribute is made
viewable in the Dimensions View through the Preferences section.
Note: You must have adequate
permissions for viewing an attribute while searching.
Procedure
To search dimension data, perform the following actions:
- On the Explore menu, click Search.
- From the Dimension drop-down list, select the dimension that you want to
search.
- From the Attribute drop-down list, select the dimension attribute that
you want to search.
For example, for the Vendor dimension, if you select State as an attribute, the search
results display the vendors in the state that you specify.
- Select a relevant search criteria from the Filter drop-down list. OR
Select the Multi-list Separated By check box, and
select a separator from the list of allowed characters.
Note: You can select a separator only if
you select the Multi-list Separated By check box.
- Type your search criteria in the Search Criteria box.
- Click Search.
