Example of Creating a Basic Analytic Report

You can create a basic analytic report with the help of the example of an IT Services commodity, showing all suppliers whose poor performance spend is greater than 20%.

Procedure

To create a basic analytic report for an IT Services commodity, complete the following steps:

  1. In the dimensions view, apply filter on IT Services in the Commodity dimension.
  2. Apply another filter on Supplier Performance Score- Node (poor).
  3. On the Analytics menu, click Create New.
  4. On the Create New submenu, click Basic.
  5. Ensure that the Current Filters: Include Context Filters check box is selected to retain the filter that is applied on commodities and the performance score.
  6. Enter a name and description for your report.
  7. In the Report Type section on the right, select Original, if you do not want the report to be displayed in the Top Reports section.-OR-Select the Top Reports option, if you want the report to be displayed in the Top Reports section.
    Note: If you select the Top Reports option, select an option in the adjacent Top Reports drop-down list.
  8. From the Show All list, select Vendor as the dimension.
  9. From the Whose list, select a Spend from the Measures section. For more information, see step 9 of Creating Analytic Report.
  10. In Search Criteria, select the greater than (>) condition and specify the value as 20.
  11. From the additional options under Search Criteria, select % of Total Node Measure as the option.
  12. Click Commit Criteria. The page is refreshed and displayed with Save as Template and Submit options available.
  13. Click Save as Template, if you want to save the same analytic condition for future use.
  14. Click Submit to generate the report.
