You can export dimension data to a .xls or .csv file.
Procedure
To export dimension data, complete the following steps:
- On the dimension header, click the Export
icon.
- Enter the file name, and specify the following values:
- File type
- Expanded to Level
- Nodes
- Number Format
- Click Export.
Results
The file is downloaded on your system.
Example
When you select the XLS option for exporting, you can specify the number of root or parent
nodes that you want to export. If you select 30 nodes and the
Expanded to
Level option is set to 0, only 30 root nodes are exported. If you select 30 nodes, and
the
Expanded to Level option is set to 2, 30 root nodes and their child nodes
up to the second level are exported. If you select All nodes, all the parent or root nodes are
exported. Similarly, if you select the Visible nodes option, all the parent or root nodes that are
visible on the page are exported. When you set the
Expanded to Level option
to greater than 0, the child nodes of the selected level are also exported.
