Applying Rules

You can apply the rules that are marked active on the Managing Rules page. You can sequence the rules that you want to apply. By default, the rule that is applied last overrides other rules that are applied for the same node.

Procedure

To apply rules, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the basic input set or cube.
  2. On the Enrichment menu, click Manage Rules.
  3. On the Add, Rename, Move, and Map tabs, activate the rules that you want to apply, and deactivate the rest.
  4. On the Enrichment menu, click Apply Rules.
  5. On the Apply Rules page, click Next.
  6. Select the rule types that you want to apply, and then click Apply. If you select the Map rule, also complete the following tasks:
    1. Click Choose Strategy.
    2. Select a strategy, and then click Populate Values.
      Note: If none of the existing strategies work for you, you can click Create, enter a strategy name and the parameters to use for resolving conflicts, and then click Save Strategy.
    3. Click Apply Rule.

      The rules are processed and you can track their status from the Jobs list page.
