Simultaneous Amendments
You can simultaneously create multiple amendments for an executed contract if none of the other amendments is activated. The other amendments can be in Draft or In Negotiation status.
Creating simultaneous amendments
When you create an amendment contract, if another amendment is in progress, the Create Simultaneous Amendment window opens. The window lists the other amendments in progress along with the contract name, the contract number, and the internal contact.
If you want to restore a withdrawn amendment while another amendment is in progress, you must confirm the restoring of the withdrawn contract.
When you execute an amendment, if there is another amendment in process for the same contract, you must confirm the execution of the amendment. This prompt window opens regardless of which amendment was created first.
Executing amendments
When an amendment is executed, a workflow notification for Simultaneous Amendment Executed is sent if there are other amendments in progress. This email notification is sent to the internal contacts of each amendment that is in process for the base contract.
If two or more amendments for the same contract are selected by the contract activation process, the amendments are activated in the order of their Effective Start Date. If more than one amendment has the same Effective Start Date, then the amendments are activated in the order of their execution. When two amendments have different values, the base contract reflects the values from the last amendment that was activated.
